Scena L/R

Scena is an applique designed specifically for mirror illumination starting from an emission capable to arouse appropriate perception of one’s reflected image, while also illuminating the surrounding space. Its simple and essential shape designs lights by first directing it towards the mirror, then towards the face. This is achieved through the sinusoid shape of its cut that opens on an extruded profile with a constant section from which light is emitted, filtered by an opal screen.

The product looks simple but reveals its intelligence in the ability to distribute the emitted light in an appropriate and functional way with an elementary gesture. Functional and elegant, it is produced using a 3D laser-cutting technique that allows to shape its geometry starting from an extruded material.

The same principle comes in two versions by which Scena can adjust to mirrors of different sizes: two lengths, one half of the other, ideal to illuminate the mirror’s surface either from the top, in the longer and symmetrical version, or from the sides.

In the former, the emitted light is directed centrally towards the face, and laterally towards the mirror. The second – shorter – version comes in turn in two different and opposed geometries to obtain symmetrical emission when the appliance is fitted on the sides of the mirror. Though it was designed to illuminate a mirror, it is ideal whenever is necessary a minimal solution to obtain grazing and diffused light. With a minimal graphic sign, it participates in creating a light scene.
