Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), the hanging lamp "Stellar Nebula" by Artemide convinces with its poetic appearance, where traditional craftsmanship and innovative technology come together.

"Stellar Nebula" by Artemide, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), convinces with a lighting effect in which a shimmering nebula of stars served as a model. Here, the hanging lamp is based on handmade glassblowing art, whereby the body of the lamp is blown into a mold and after completion is heated again in the oven until the crystal glass almost melts again. The result is an organic shape that makes each piece unique. Subsequently, a dichroic metal finish is applied in a vacuum in a sustainable and emission-free process, which results in another effect: thus, "Stellar Nebula" is reminiscent of an iridescent soap bubble when switched on, while the lamp body is clear as a raindrop when switched off. The hanging lamp is available in the models "Stellar Nebula 22", "Stellar Nebula 30" and "Stellar Nebula 40" in three different sizes and enables a special perception of light with its combination of traditional craftsmanship and innovative technology.
