At Dutch manufactory Arco almost everything revolves around tables. What makes the new model, called “Trestle”, so special? Jorre van Ast, designer and MD of the family-owned company, explains – in interview with Uta Abendroth.
This new Arco chair is stackable, bright and light, both as regards appearance and weight. A modern translation of the traditional "café chair". This fully wooden chair has a removable, 3D-woven and semi-transparent back cover that gives the seat a highly
individual character while offering exceptional comfort. This originates because the cover is drawn tightly around the wooden back, and comes loose from the wood at the hollowing on the inside so your back is comfortably enclosed so to speak. 'Café Chair
' is suitable for the home environment (at the breakfast or dining table), work environments (in offices and canteens) and in the hotel and catering trade (restaurants, cafés, etc.).
