Christian Fischbacher realized Caprice on a Shantung silk with an exceptionally smooth surface. Before printing, the silk is washed, thereby reducing the silks’ natural glue, which makes it much softer after finishing. The fabric is then printed on an innovative printing machine with an eco-friendly inkjet method that, due to its precision, is mainly used for the printing of ties and scarves. The Austrian manufacturer responsible for the pre-treatment, printing and finishing of Caprice, is a pioneer in digital printing.
