With Spring fast approaching the time is ripe for a closer look at three exceptional armchairs signed by Pedrali – “Soul Outdoor”, “Remind” and “Tribeca” – they tick all the boxes for making a great impression both inside and outdoors.

“Contraste” is the name of a new restaurant in Milan. The name may sound Italian, but it isn’t. Needless to say, however, the Spanish word, which has a similar ring to it, is understood in Italy, too. In this case, it stands for the fact that both the chefs come from South America.

Ten years ago Pedrali set up a plant in Manzano in Friuli, in the province of Udine, an area known as the Chair District for its traditional wooden chair-making. An important reason for the manufacturer to establish the new wooden furniture production plant there, while in Bergamo in Lombardy they have been working with plastics, metal and upholstery for 50 years.

Who would have anticipated finding exquisite Italian design on Mont Blanc at such a dizzying height? Since summer 2015 those heading for the summit can use the new “Skyway Monte Bianco” cable railway to Pointe Helbronner station. Up there they can relax in the bar or restaurant on chairs by Pedrali, and savor the fantastic view across the Aosta massif.

Sixteen days of pure Lombard horticultural pleasure: from 5 to 20 September Bergamo hosted the fifth “I Maestri del Paesaggio – International Meeting of the Landscape and Garden”. The quiet town at the foot of the Alps offers landscape architects and designers the space and setting to meet others from their profession in the midst of public garden presentations. Fresh colors, minimalist design and stylish furniture by Pedrali – food corporation Nestlé has come up with a persuasive recipe against canteen-world misery in open-plan offices for its new Italian head office in the industrial estate of “Milanofiori” in Assago, southeast of Milan.

Embedded between poppy fields and asphalt in Lainate, Italy, a striking roof almost 28 meters high interrupts the landscape. What looks from a distance like a small volcano at closer inspection turns out to be the “Villoresi Est” interstate service station.

Bronda, a restaurant on Eteläesplanadi, a promenade in the center of Helsinki, is both urban and spacious in feel. A high, elongated room with lots of space and a large window front sets a suitable stage for a city-dwelling public in the Finnish capital since this spring. Helsinki architects Futudesign styled the restaurant with timelessly elegant and generous fittings with furniture by Pedrali.

Van Cleef & Arpels has been a first class address on New York’s Fifth Avenue since the 1930s. Following necessary renovation work, the designers at the Jouin Manku Studio set about refurnishing the legendary jewelry store, drawing inspiration from New York Art Déco in their planning.

All the colors of the rainbow – in Google’s new Dublin premises the shades of the familiar logo dominate the interior, which features furniture from Pedrali.

The Milan Furniture Fair is just around the corner. Now in its 52nd year, the annual get-together for design enthusiasts is the biggest in the industry. The Italian firm Pedrali (est. 1963) is almost the same age and will not only be celebrating its 50th anniversary but also its 25th appearance at the Salone del Mobile.

Industrial designer Odoardo Fioravanti created the wooden "Frida" chair for Italian furniture-maker Pedrali – and last year it won the "Compasso d'Oro", the design Oscar. Today, "Frida" is to be found in several renowned Design Museums worldwide. Moreover you will find Pedrali's products in a series of outstanding international reference projects.
