STYLEPARK LIGHT + BUILDING
A look ahead
Out of 91 ideas, designs and concepts, this year's expert jury recently chose the most impressive entries. In an intensive selection process, Annika Egloff-Schoenen (Managing Director, Fachverlag Dr. H. Arnold GmbH), Ulrike Brandi (Managing Director, Ulrike Brandi Licht), Andreas Habermehl (Managing Director of Technology and Vocational Training, ZVEH – Central Association of German Electrical and Information Technology Trades) and Prof. Amandus Samsøe Sattler (ensømble studio architektur, President of DGNB e.V.) together with Stylepark decided on the winners. Together, they named a total of 13 outstanding design achievements as award winners. Decisive criteria included sustainability, innovative strength, and functional and design quality.
The international submissions – ranging from technical luminaires and lighting components to home and building automation and forward-looking security solutions – demonstrate the thematic diversity of Light + Building and underline the global relevance of the award. The submissions are divided into the categories Sustainability & Future Energy +, Smart & Connected Solutions +, Lighting Design & Atmosphere +, User Experience & Integration + and Sustainable Exhibition Stand +. ‘Focused on the times, diverse and exciting’ is how Ulrike Brandi describes the quality and range. At the same time, the international nature of the entries underlines the global relevance of the award. Amandus Samsøe Sattler is also looking forward to the upcoming trade fair: ‘The special thing about Light + Building is that we get to meet the people behind their luminous products. Within a few days, we get a comprehensive overview of the entire product world – to touch and discover.’
The awards will be unveiled at a ceremony on Sunday, 8 March 2026, the opening day of Light + Building, at 1 p.m. in the Design Plaza at Messe Frankfurt in Hall 3.1. In addition, the award-winning products will be presented at the exhibition centre in the foyer of Hall 5.1/6.1 and in Hall 9.0 D74 in the form of digital info hubs.
