Berlin Calling

With the remodelling of Eurolub's headquarters, Holzrausch demonstrates the potential that exists in brittle commercial buildings. Fine material and detail solutions were used to realise a corporate architecture that skilfully alternates between representation and comfort.

With "J*GAST made of karuun®", the design collective J*Gast explores the qualities of the natural material for kitchen design. The combination of sculptural appearance and advanced function explores sustainable and aesthetic requirements in a new way.

In “Van B”, Munich’s latest architectural landmark, Holzrausch was one of only ten German interior design studios selected to exclusively fit out an entire penthouse apartment. In the “Holzrausch Edition Van B”, superlative no-frills clarity combines with the carefully executed craftsmanship in the company’s own workshops.

By combining an interior design studio with its own workshops Holzrausch can offer holistically planned projects. Unique furniture and luminaire designs are regularly produced for these projects in cooperation with architects and designers – a selection is now available as editions in the Munich showroom. In this interview Tobias Petri and Sven Petzold give the publishers of Stylepark an insight into their work.

In the form of "J*GAST", five creative individuals are challenging the classic principle of the fitted kitchen. By presenting a alternative system: Sven Petzold and Tobias Petri, managing directors of the kitchen manufacturer Holzrausch, together with the designers Ana Relvão, Gerhardt Kellermann and Jan Heinzelmann, developed a concept that is now ready for the market.

Holzrausch – are founders Tobias Petri and Sven Petzold, are craftsmanship, cabinetmaking, outfitting, architecture, and interior design. One of the pioneering projects, the “J. Gast” kitchen system that they developed with Office Heinzelmann Ayadi and Relvão Kellermann is set to enter stores later this year.

Projects by Holzrausch are unmistakable: The interior fittings by the Munich-based company score points for their elegant simplicity – so much so that word is now getting around in the USA, too.
