Donuts – just go nuts

One of the constant features of Dirk Wynants' work is the strong desire to combine solidity and comfort. Until 2004 all Extremis products were quite sturdy and consequently rather hard. The search for a softer and easily moveable piece of furniture resulted in the creation of Donuts: a table-seating combination with an inflatable seating part strongly appealing to all ages, definitely also to children.

With its striking doughnut shape, this extremely light-weight, though sturdy unit makes people smile and incites them to try it out. Donuts can furthermore be moved in no time: from the patio to the lawn, from the shade into the sun and vice versa of course...

The indoor version (which is also suitable for outdoor use, but is less UV resistant and should consequently not be exposed to sunlight for a lengthy period of time) is available in anthracite, orange, green, and red.

· As the table is slightly curved, rain water and any dirt are evacuated automatically.

When transported, the seating part is of course deflated. Thanks to the small transport volume its environmental impact is very limited. That is why OVAM, the Flemish Public Waste Agency, often uses Donuts as a model...
