FILM is a luminous short film and a distinctive wall-mounted lighting concept that combines projection with the intimacy of personal messages. In FILM, a series of old 35mm slides are lit from behind, pulsate and are shown at random. The photographs can be assembled and replaced as desired, so FILM can display anything you want to represent – an image, a logo or a sentence. This configurability makes FILM a highly personal luminaire: the choice of the message to be communicated is entirely up to the user. A blinking LED punctuates the light message, creating motion and enabling reading in movement—an essential characteristic of FILM.
