Farfalle

“Farfalle is an attempt to turn an individual element into diverse geometric compositions. Its suspension principle, based on six faceted squares hooked to a central lighting body, is implemented in space with a linear or intricate repetition of the single object, according to the position of the wings connected with each other.

The sequential breakdown of the squares held together by the lighting body changes the suspension distance in the geometric composition. Like in a filigree, Farfalle is the image of a butterfly’s thin and fragile wings in motion. The varying interactions between the lighting body and the six faceted squares turn a stiff object into a rhythmic, lightweight, deconstructed composition.

Farfalle paves the way for customized interpretations of the lighting object, either unique or reduced to a geometric canvas, for configuration of home or public spaces.”
