Identities strengthened by asymmetry: harmonious
together, but with independent potential. The two vertical Alterego
sideboards are conceived from a craft vision that creates an association
between the woods and the hand brushed metal effect finish. Two
distinct sideboards that differ in the layout of the doors with the
double sliding and hinged door system, finding unity in their sculptural
forms and in the suspended effect of the structure: a dreamlike feeling
deceives the eye with the vertical full height door, which is not
a fixed support element, a function provided instead by the transparent
methacrylate base. The visual interval between the main monolithic body,
with two hinged doors, and the sliding panel is emphasized by the use
of different materials: wood or lacquering for the body, brushed metal
effect for the door. Two decisive, solid identities, that blend with the
collection’s idea of structural lightness.
